One 7 year old girl I was teaching recorder then Yamaha fife has now got a curved head flute. She is really excited about it, and the fife has helped her get a really good sound on the flute itself. At the moment we are just using the Fife Book on the flute as she knows the tunes. What about actual flute books? I have Flute Basics but I think it goes too fast for her. What about Funky Flute, Lets Play the Flute?

Funky Flute I think is a really nice book for this sort of age, with some good tunes in it. It's illustrated really attractively too.
