Nooooooo, Joe's the best singer, by FAR! Jamie was a good performer but his vocals were nowhere near as good as Joe or Stacey! Olly's the same as Jamie - great performer, not great vocals...

I really really want to go and draw, or play an instrument, or write the application for the school art and music trip to Florence, but I ought to do this. Argh.

I'm calling my husband ( ) who is stuck at Heathrow and must be terribly bored. He was due on a 5pm flight home which has now been delayed until after 10.15pm

Wondering whether my rehearsal will be on later! There has been quite a lot of power things going wrong, and several areas around here are without any power, and the phone message you get when you ring the substation warns it may be several hours for power to return to some areas.

I feel for you : reminds me of the great South East London power cut of July this year. Torches and candles, ugh...

I love power cuts! They're a little bit of excitement in an otherwise monotonous life

Right now, I'm watching 'Brought Up By Booze', recorded on my TV... it's very sad...

Well, I went, and other people turned up too- I took a torch, but didn't need it, thankfully. At least they hope that power will be returning quite soon to all.

Well it did take my fence away during the night. It had only been replaced in February and has now got to be redone again asap!! I also ended up with 3 extra large bins in my driveway!!!

Trying to decide what piano pieces I fancy learning next

Finalising my list of pieces that are either close to completion or "in progress"... My teacher has said we'll go through them one at a time and get them all ticked off. The list stands at 17 pieces right now, although most of them can be ticked off with a week or two's hard work and focus - a few will take a good couple of months, though.

And tapping on a keyboard. How about cracking walnuts wuth your right foot while your left one beats time ?

I've taken to writing the email first, and then reviewing it, and then putting in the addressee so that it doesn't get sent by mistake. Am I over-cautious? Does anyone else do that?

In the past I've inadvertently sent an incomplete email by hitting the wrong keyboard shortcut! Flippin' outlook... although you can disable it (Ctrl+S I think, so if you hit that instead of shift+s, off it goes!)
