Avoiding starting work

Getting ready to go out for a morning's rehearsal with the Y6s at Fairfield Halls - Bromley Prom tonight!

Having to tear myself away from my piano:-( just to prepare evening meal. I feel I've actually achieved something today.

It was good, thanks, although I only just got home - half an hour to get out of the car park! Bah!

Got back from RVW Sea Symphony rehearsal (2 weeks to go ). Finalised platform manager's notes for the concert (how did I get lined-up for that?).

Bed calling. Only good news is that being under the weather this week I've binned going to London tomorrow - so at least I don't need to get up at 4.30am now

Piano lesson at 3 today...so a refocused Kingy will be spending an entire morning practising, with absolutely no time for wittering and waffling on 'ere. See youse all late this afternoon!

Just got back from the health centre, coming back via the pharmacy to pick up more pills and potions that keep me (or at least profess to) keep me on an even keel. Got another trip there on Mon morning. Ten minutes of piano practice before SWMBO gets back.

Having a major panic about moving, living apart from OH and dog during the week, starting a new job, not having music lessons for a few months and just generally panicking.

Time for a coffee break before I resume packing (and panicking).

Trying hard not to fall asleep..

Failed - I dozed off at 5, phone started ringing at 5.45 and it took a number of rings for me to work out where I was, where the phone was etc. I've now put some goulash in the oven to cook so hopefully I won't fall asleep again (mind you, it'll take an hour or so, so there's always a chance....)

Sending salsa music to my phone so I can study for Tues rehearsal as I walk/run.

Trying to decide what to do today that is going to entertain the kids but not cost anything.....

Cup of tea after a fit of wild enthusiasm means that one of the front lawns has had its first hair cut of the season (that's quite early for round here - when I lived in Cheshire (on very light soil) I used to start mid-Feb).

There's a large circular bed in the middle of the lawn (about 10 ft diam), which was tidied up in the autumn - but it's full of weeds So I've been on hands and knees clearing them out and a trip to buy 240 litres of bark chippings which I've now put down as a mulch so hopefully the weeds will be somewhat more reluctant to appear....

That's enough enthusiasm until June!

Trouble is, I've got another two lawns and a border in the back that was not sorted out in the autumn....

(Problem here is it usually suddenly gets too wet to work the ground)

Nursing a sinking feeling in my stomach about tomorrow..
