Hi,

I've recently finished a dreamy piece called 'Myriads' it is mainly contemplative but has little jazz influences from the saxophone.

I wondered if anyone would be interested in playing it as a trio in a forum concert in the future? I'm happy to play one of the parts.

On the recording i'm playing all 3 instruments (but not all at once... now that would be clever!)
it's here if you'd like a listen (just click on Myriads, the first track): http://www.reverbnation.com/keridegg

Yes (clarinet, ideally), as long as our paths cross at an event sometime. smile.gif

Lovely music. I've just been listening to Myriads and Lament and hearing the rest as I plough through the forum posts. Thank you. smile.gif

I'd be interested too (clarinet) but am only likely to be at the Headingley concert this year apart from the playdays and Barry's et al's recital.....

P.S. This morning, Oldnotes and I were trying to decide if it may be feasible/acceptable to include "Lament" in Headingley . unsure.gif

Are you not going to come to the Durham event, Dawn? sad.gif

How long is lament? Leeds max is 3-3.5 minutes, other concerts often offer slightly longer. smile.gif

Please remind us - when is Durham?

Unsure Flossie. Wasn't sure when it was to start with. Also fitting in everything I might like to do is difficult with young family. What's the approx costing for Durham??

Re: Myriads: Is it listed three times on Reverbnation or are they different movements ???? Cooking tea and so not listening properly right now.

We'll aim to get it somewhere between £10-15 per head. smile.gif

i'M SO HOPING THAT THERE WILL BE A FORUM CONCERT SOMEWHERE NEAR TO ME (DERBYSHIRE/NOTTS) NEXT YEAR!

SO FAR THEN...BARRICLARI IS A POSSIBLE VOLUNTEER ON CLARINET. I ENJOY THE PIANO PART SO WOULD BE HAPPY TO PLAY PIANO, WE JUST NEED A SAXOPHONIST!

RE A PREVIOUS QUERY; ON MY REVERBNATION PAGE MYRIADS IS ONLY LISTED ONCE BUT ON FACEBOOK IT DOES APPEAR 3 TIMES AS I WAS HAVING A 'SPOT OF BOTHER'!...BAH! TECHNOLOGY!!!!!!

IT IS ONE PIECE BUT HAS 3 DEFINITE SECTIONS. IF YOU LISTEN CAREFULLY IN THE MIDDLE QUIET BIT, YOU SHOULD HEAR WIND BEING BLOWN THROUGH THE INSTRUMENTS TO CREATE AN OVERLAPPING WAVES EFFECT!

HAPPY TOOTLING!

It's possible you might have to look slightly further afield : can you travel beyond the East Midlands (say, to Durham in April, for example)? smile.gif

hi, I think my husband might well divorce me if I took anything else on around that time of year! I'm really busy through all of March (including a concert with Christian Forshaw) but i'll keep an eye on the forum calendar!

Cool : there's plenty more still being sorted out to go on the calendar, so do keep your eyes on it! biggrin.gif
