I posted this topic in another forum but somebody suggested I post it here instead as it would be more appropriate.

I would just like some responses (good or bad!) to my grade 8 programme for my exam next year as I'm not entirely sure if the songs work together or not. I'm thinking of (in no particular order):

Una donna a quindici anni (Mozart)
Lamento (Duparc)
Zur Rosenzeit (Grieg)
Adelaides Lament (Loesser)

And either Siuil a Run or An Spailpin Fanach as the traditional song.

Any responses would be wonderful, thankyou.

I think that sounds a nicely balanced programme - remember to sneeze at the end of Adelaide's Lament

Sounds like a lovely programme, although I'd go for an Spailpin Fanach as the folk song - it's much less sung that the first one.

If you can, go for the version that starts 'O's a spailpin earrach' rather than 'go deo deo aris ni raghad go Caiseal' - the first one has much nicer text.
