What does one do with the organ music one no longer plays? I have a small pile of music I would be happy to give away or otherwise deposit at the local tip. Nothing major - just odds and ends collected over the years. For post or collection if you live in/near North Yorks.

What sort of things have you got? As in styles etc?

Roger Moleneux is always a good man on this count, www.usedorganmusic.co.uk - If it is in good quality i'm sure he would take it, and as a buyer you always know exactly what sort of service you'll get (well you did before the postal strike at least :-P)

Failing that, what about handing it into York Uni Music Dept? We regularly have peoples old library come into UEA, enabling us to get hold of music we wouldn't otherwise have known or be able to afford.

The Piano Shop in Leeds has just arranged with St Gemma's Hospice, Leeds, that if the shop receives any donations of sheet music (any instrument), they will sell it on behalf of St Gemma's. The full amount of any sale price will go to St Gemma's. I'm in Leeds and if you'd be happy to donate this to The Piano Shop for selling on behalf of St Gemma's, I could meet up with you in, say, Leeds, Harrogate, York or similar.

Hi 'daveinnorfolk' and thank you for your suggestions. I doubt very much there is anything truly rare in the pile I have to give away, so I would not expect Roger to be terribly interested. It might on the other hand raise a quid or two for St Gemma's Hospice, and I would really like to support that cause. 'slylark' I shall send you a PM.
