for Grade 8 piano (after only 4 days btw) and I achieved Merit! I'm totally over the moon right now! I was expecting much worse after I made quite a few slips in all 3 pieces and scales. I got 120 so I just scraped Merit.
The breakdown:
P1:Sarabande and Rondeaux 24
P2:Beethoven Piano Sonata 25
P3:Turina Sacro Monte 22
Scales 19
Sight Reading 17
Aurals 13 (v.surprised I passed!)
Now I'm going to go celebrate, lol.

You must have done really well in your scales and sight reading! - Was your sight reading and aural tests hard? The bit I'm dreading most is scales I've not chance!!

For the first song, try to use the phrasing more effectively try not to make it sound disjointed.
For the second song, use rubato it will get you good marks.
For the third song, try to play it quicker, I got a relatively low mark in this piece because I was too 'relaxed' according to the examiner

Just keep practicing them I didn't really do much practice until 3 weeks before the exam, I practice 4 hours every single day on them lol!

For sight reading, don't worry too much cause it's relatively easy. For aurals, it is pretty hard, I got part A and B mostly wrong but I did well in C and D so there's still a chance to still pass that part. Hope that helps!
