I use a company called DivisionX ( www.divisionx.com ), who rescued me some years ago when Sage (accounts) sold my original hosting to an outfit that wanted to charge an arm and a leg for breathing.
I pay about £100 a year for 3GB of web hosting, e-mail and so forth, although they offer a wide range of packages for much more, or less.
What I like best is that they are professional and very helpful, and will always answer e-mail questions within half an hour or so. If the problem is more tricky a real, live human being will phone you (or you can phone them), and they will fix everything for you.
If you get in touch they will transfer your website to their own servers for you, and everything will work as it should.
