The company that has been hosting my website for the past seven years has just gone bust and is due to cease hosting at the end of the week. Can anyone suggest/recommend a reliable, low-cost company that I can try?

I've been using these people for two years:

70p/month

So far, no problems, and always very fast. I also registered two domains through them as well.

Does you ISP offer space as part of your package?

Microsoft Office Live does a free website + email + storage - I can't imagine why anyone would go anywhere else.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have explored a bit and think this one looks promising. Has anyone else used it?

My ISP provides web space but doesn't allow business sites. I don't use Microsoft Office so that isn't an option...

I use a company called DivisionX ( www.divisionx.com ), who rescued me some years ago when Sage (accounts) sold my original hosting to an outfit that wanted to charge an arm and a leg for breathing. mad.gif

I pay about £100 a year for 3GB of web hosting, e-mail and so forth, although they offer a wide range of packages for much more, or less.

What I like best is that they are professional and very helpful, and will always answer e-mail questions within half an hour or so. If the problem is more tricky a real, live human being will phone you (or you can phone them), and they will fix everything for you.

If you get in touch they will transfer your website to their own servers for you, and everything will work as it should.
