Wow really what did you get? did you atake it at the 3rd of november. argh soo scared tomorrow if i get my result and i failed i know i did soo bad!! im soo worried and nervous now! arrrgh!!

how much experience have you had before doin your grade 5?????? never done theory before just took grade 3 piano n i had a go at the grade 5 theory i did a 6 week crash corse and i passed by 1 mark!!!!!!

n im only 12!!! ( 13 in 4 days) has any one else done it this way???? how long does it usualy take?

I did the grade 5 book in a couple of months but I was totally self taught up until about 3 weeks before my exam

im thirteen and iv only done a tiny bit of theory and iv just passed grade five piano.When i looked at the practice papers i nearly died!!I think ill have to spend the rest of the hols studying!Ps is it compulsory to do grade 5 thory b4 u can do grade 6 practical thats wot ma teachert sez but i think shes makin it up so she can put me through the pain of learning hteory!

lol yes it is complusary its not your teacher making it all up lol..
good luck on ur pratice. i hated mine but it took from 2003-2004 so it took me a long time for me to pass!

She is not making it up.
If you find the grade 5 papers a bit daunting it would be good to go all the way back to grade 1 (even if you find that VERY easy) and work through each grade.
Remember that grade 5 syllabus is 'as in preceding grades with the addition of......'
If you go from the beginning then you plug any potential gaps.
At grade 5 they won't remind you that, for example, your note stems need to go up or down according to their position on the stave... but you will lose marks if you get it wrong.

No, you really do have to do grade 5 theory before you can take ABRSM practical grade 6, unless you take a grade 5 Jazz or Practical Musicianship exam instead

For Associated Board exams you have to have passed Grade 5 theory to do Grade 6. Do as many practice papers as possible, you will be able to find out your strengths and weaknesses from them.
