I Just wanted to share with everyone this excellent (and free) music game that helps you learn the names of the notes. It improved my reading 10 fold in just 1 day!

Here's where I found it: http://ukpianos.co.uk/musicgame/

Nice one, I will use that.

Thanks for this. Although I've been playing for years, I did find I was a little slow on the ledger line notes, and the short time to decide does encourage you to speed up!

Thanks for this, it's great! I've been using it on another site before but this is a good backup in case the other site doesn't work.

biggrin.gif That's fun - good practice for moving the mouse quickly and precisely!

Why oh why can't I find anything similar for my French students who used do ré mi etc instead of ABC. Has anyone in France or any of the other countries who name notes by fixed solfa names found anything useful?

I can get to the UK Pianos site but I can't find the game. When I click on the link, I just get a blank screen with "Name that note" at the top ...

Jalmus is better IMO and it allows you to use a MIDI keyboard.
