Full Version: Duets For Clarinet And Alto Sax?

I thought I'd have a look for some music that I could play with my daughter (me on clarinet, her on alto sax - she's just done Grade 1). I've had a trawl of Musicroom.com but only one title came up (Making the Grade Together: Duets).

Does anyone else know of anything (something jazzy would be ideal)? I do have a book of clarinet duets, but obviously I'd have to transpose for her. There are a couple of duets in her saxophone tutor, but when we try them (with me transposing ), they don't sound right because the registers don't work.

If there's nothing ready-made, I'm willing to have a go at reworking either sax or clari duets by transposing one or other line in Sibelius.

Thanks!

Have a look at June Emerson - www.juneemerson.co.uk - they have all sorts of ensemble music which is graded from A to E, A being easier.

Their website has been redesigned and I don't find it that easy to narrow down the search criteria so you might find you a browsing through a long list of mixed duets. If you are stuck, give them a ring and see if they can make some suggestions.
