I'm looking to buy a glockenspiel for an approaching grade 8 percussionist. Where can we go to try some? Any recommendations for make/size etc? I'm a bit clueless about how to proceed. Not the sort of thing that my local music shop has in stock.

Thanks.

You don't say whereabouts you are? smile.gif

I'm still toying with buying a xylophone or marimba, but I can't find a teacher anywhere so there's no point sad.gif

i'm surprised you can't find a teacher - isn't this something all decent orchestral percussionists play?

The closest teacher I've found is about half an hour's drive away (if traffic is fine) and I really can't be bothered with the hassle sad.gif
