My teacher is just about to enter me for next years first grade 8 exams (piano)? I'm really nervous already, I''ll have to get my sight-reading up to scratch before then. Anyone else doing exams in Feb?

Oh, you seem to be the only one in this forum who sit for the February exam next year.

I am preparing for my G8 exam too but haven't determined when to take my exam (I'm an adult learner). What pieces will you be playing?

You still have one month or so to improve your sight-reading, try not to worry too much. How's your aural going? I find G8 aural quite difficult.

Good luck to your exam.

Me too - I am waiting to find out the date of the exam and am very nervous! My pieces are the Handel, Beethoven and the Turina Sacro-Monte. I got a digital piano over the holiday and am so so glad to be able to practice with the headphones. I have just ordered the book of aural exercises with the CD and am using all the help I can get to achieve this exam!!! At least now instead of midnight panics I can just go and practice!

I am having difficulty with the sixths too - I am having a lesson this afternoon and will find out and pass on any tricks he tells me!
