Hey

I was told that this is where I introduce myself, so.... here we go!

Ever since I went to my first concert at the age of 4 I have LOVED music!

My first instrument was the violin, and ever since I have been learning to play others, but my main instruments are viola and bassoon, simply becuase I love my instruments and what they do. wub.gif

My favorite composer has got to be Handel, but I also love Bach and Einaudi; I am a great fan of Baroque and Modern, contempory-classical music. biggrin.gif

I am also trying to form and orchestra in my local town saffron walden, (Which will hopefully be created soon as the Saffron Walden Philharmonic orchestra. clarinet.gif party1.gif

As you can see from this, Music is, in effect, my life. wub.gif

Thank you,

Thanks guys for all your kind replies!

In terms of the orchestra...

All I need is the location and the parts!!!!! I was thinking of scanning the score into sibelius 5; does anyone know if that would breach copyright?

Solari- The day we get to perform there is the day I die! They are brilliant concerts, unfortunatly reserved only for pros though dry.gif

We are hopefully going to start playing Mussorgskys Pictures at an exhibtion (Ill probably start another thread on this as I have so many questions to ask!!!!). It will be my first time conducting!!!! (GULP!)

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

As long as composer has been dead for 70+ years then no copyright breached. Most orchetras do rent the parts they require, this is of course funded by membership fees and any sponsership you can get.

Concerts are usually finded by selling tickets, in this case to the players family and friends.
