I'm trying to make a push to get more work as a teacher and a performer and wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I'm intending to make two targeted CVs - one for my instrumental teaching and one for my performance work. I'm going to send my teaching one to local schools in the hope that some may need a teacher, and my performance one will be mostly sent to local amateur dramatic societies so they've got my details - but perhaps in the future I would use it to try to get more concert work as well.
I just wondered if anyone had any tips on what should be included on each CV? For example I assume that I would still have to list my most recent employment and education history on each CV but perhaps not in as much detail as you would put on a general CV? On my performance one I'm planning to put details of all shows I've played for and the parts I've played, and also details of other ensembles I've performed in. In my teaching one I'm assuming I should still include reference to performance work but not in as much detail, and vica versa with the performance CV?
If anyone has any ideas of essential things that should be included then I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks, Lucid
