I am expecting my grade 8 cello results sometime soon, I am starting to get really nervous!!!
I really messed up on my scales, though everything else seemed all right at the time. But waiting makes things seem a whole lot worse, I'm sure you all know what i mean.........................ARGH!!!

has anyone got their results from this season yet??

I'm sure you did fine! Anyway, grade 8 it still pretty impressive!

Seriously though, I wouldn't worry about it, and if you only mucked up your scales then you have a pretty good chance of passing. I always come out of exams thinking I've failed and I haven't failed one - yet!

(bet I've tempted fate now, though)

Keep on smiling!

Yeah, I had a nervous wait for grade 5 theory results. One of my friends took grade 8 piano recently, but he doesn't even seem nervous about it!

Now stop that! In hindsight you probably thought it went worse than it actually did

I failed, so if anyone else did, don't be embaressed about admitting it. We can all share sob stories. Congrats to all those who'vepassed.

Well done - that's a great result! What a great xmas present!
I didn't think they gave 129 though - I think they should round it up to 130.

Hi all you guys. Are you still waiting for your results? I took my piano grade 8 on 11th December and I am still waiting to hear. I was expecting to hear before Xmas. I feel I did really badly but would rather have known before Xmas so I could prepare myself for next term rather than starting off the new year with bad news. I don't know why they can't ask us to tick a form on the exam box if we would like to have our results put on the internet as they must know the results in practical exams shortly after we have taken the exam. What do you all think about that?

Hi guys
I've just received my results from my teacher and have just failed grade 8 piano. I got 93 but am actually quite pleased because I thought it was going to be much worse. For the first time in my life I passed the sight reading section and will concentrate on that postive aspect to keep my spirits up. I failed scales which I am normally good at, so hopefully next time round I will pick up some extra marks there as well. My third piece, which was the Brahms, I totally stuffed up but got 17 and expected much less than that, so I feel there is hope for next term.
Congratulations to all of you who passed and good luck to all of you who, like myself, are going to be do a retake next term.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment Sharrie. And delighted to see your determination to have another shot. With such a great attitude, I know you'll succeed - so good luck if you do try again!
And thanks for the feedback. Just to let you all know that we are looking into more ways to make exam applications more web friendly and to giving you the option to access your results online. I still haven't got my results. I seem to have permanent butterflys in my stomach at the moment. Idon't think I did to great, I know I didn't play my best either, was way to tired to even think about the exam even when I was doing it, so I didn't play my best at all so I'm expecting for the worst.
