I'm quite excited for my eldest daughter age 8 as her teacher has asked her to bring the Grade 1 exam book next week... so I guess she will be embarking on her first proper exam (she did her prep test recently and had super comments).

Yes, Skylark it is piano No doubt the day will come when she becomes better than me (with much less effort!). But it will be a proud defeat. . I have a 6 year old learning too but I think it will be a while before she does even her prep test. Still it's lovely to know that they have all the time in the world and don't need to rush ahead and if they keep going they will make lovely little pianists (and they are very little, like me! )
