I have been searching high and low... for a plain black blouse for my girl, but I just cannot find one.

She would like to wear black trousers and black blouse on her performance occasion. Does anybody here know where I can buy an ordinary plain black blouse (well, would be nice if it is 3/4 sleeves, but I will just happy with any style now as long as there are not frilly!) for a 11 year-old girl?

Primark?
We got a couple last year which have the added bonus of being not only very cheap but also the 'scrunchy' sort that don't even need ironing. Unless she's very petite a size 8 will probably be fine.

Would size 6 or size 8 be too big for her because 11 year old girls do differ significantly in size. If either of those sizes do fit then Dorothy Perkins and Next have always been a good source of black blouses for us. Marks and Spencers also did a plain black blouse with three quarter length sleeves at a very reasonable price. Again in ladies sizes.

I've been looking for something similar for my daughter. Try these links - you may find something you like

Try Matalan? They usually have pretty good "work clothes" and you're bound to find something suitable there

Thank you everybody for super quick advice, which is really appreciated. My daughter is 146cm, slim-built (an ellipsoidal shape ), "Petite size 4 or 6" will fit her fine, I hope. I will get back to this forum when I have found one ( I might get one or two for myself, too!) but in the meantime, any further suggestion is appreciated.
Thank you.

Primark certainly still sell plain black blouses with 3/4 sleeves. I often see them as I pass through on my way home from work - and the sizing seems quite small to me... My daughter has a couple that were bought with concerts in mind.

New Look also have, in the past - I'm allergic to clothes shopping, and only get dragged into such places under protest, but my exceedingly slim 13 year old has conned me into going in there before now....and I'm sure I saw suchlike there...she started buying clothes from the adult racks when only about eleven, if I remember right.

Hi- I found one for my daughter in Monsoon- but it was in a retail village (end of line store) and just before Christmas - but needed for my 11 year old! I did also find some black stuff in Peacocks- but this was just before Christmas when there was a lot of black around!

I don't know if they have black blouses but MK1 seem to have re-opened under a different name(internacional -or something like) they have the Sophie range. They may have an online store if there isn't a shop near you

That is right! My problem is I much prefer shopping online nowadays. I find it is getting difficult to park, and often a delivery charge is smaller than petrol & parking. I have been enjoying myself browsing the shops suggested on this thread but it appears that they sell more in shops than online. So I may have to make a trip to a couple of shops. I keep searching, and hope I can make up my mind before long, and not be diverted to unplanned purchases.
