Hi everyone. I used to play the clarinet and I really want to start again but my mum is saying no all the time. When I did play I took Grade 1 and got a merit. I'm scared that if I start again I will be rubbish!

Hmm. What about buying your mum pink flowers and then asking her, I read that if you buy someone pink flowers they're really persuasive. The clarinet is a really nice instrument and you must have been doing something right to get a merit.

It's probably a good idea to find out why she keeps saying NO! Are you already doing too many activities? Are you pulling yr weight around the house with chores, etc? Is there some problem you can sort out which will make her feel more positive? Etc!
