Take my beloved little whippet to the vet
It's not a big deal really - she has a non-cancerous lump on her side that will be removed under sedation so I'll pick her up at lunchtime

(And she'll have sardines for lunch in compensation for missing her breakfast.)
The down side is that she's nearly 11 had has learned that vet visits are NOT the best occupation of her time so she gets utterly miserable. She's the most stoic dog I've ever met so the vet will think she's fine but I can see in her eyes that she's panicking inside.

She'll also have to wear a 'bucket' for the next ten days because we've learned to our cost that she will pull her own stitches out. The 'bucket' is sitting in the car waiting but I'll hide it from her until we get there.
Here she (her name is Jay and she's on the left) is on the sofa with my username-sake Lottie

(hope the photo isn't too big)
