Wait for Friday school finishing ceremony (sing Turkish national anthem), go for a run, collect daughter from swimming training, go home, say hello to children and husband, have a shower, say goodbye to children and husband, go to end of term teachers' dinner (Turkish schools finish next week), come home, wrap daughter's birthday presents for 9th birthday tomorrow, go to bed, wake up for daughter's swimming training at 7am, followed by her birthday party etc, etc ...............thinking about it makes me tired!

Thank goodness school finishes soon.

Earlier this afternoon I was invited to invigilate this one tomorrow, but I declined the offer.

Firstly, because if they include Heavy-Metal/Garage/ .... actually anything other than Classical and I have to sit/stand through a performance " ... now for the fifth time ..." I'll blow a gasket. wacko.gif

Secondly, I was advised last year to put my hands in my pockets (which I did) for fear of giving away answers unintentionally - afterwards I calculated that I could have given away nearly 10 marks, had students witnessed me tapping out rhythms, playing air-keyboard or 'conducting', as I'm wont to do!

Thirdly, with the date of my Diploma exam received today, suddenly it has become all the more real, so I'm valuing practice-time all the more - after all, I'm invigilating every day next week as it is!

Good luck by the way! smile.gif

If it's the same exam I'm going, there's four areas of study-the classical/baroque/romantic section, a section on serialism/minimalism/experimental, a third section on Brit Pop and popular music, and then "world music"-so not just classical! And that sounds rather intriguing-I'm sure the students would have regarded that with much hilarity! Thank you, and good luck with your diploma! smile.gif

In just over half-an-hour I shall watch the series' finale of Dr Who. This year's revamp has reinvigorated my interest in the programme - I'd watched several with Eccleston and likewise several of Tennant's, but all of this series. smile.gif

Well, I've opened all the windows upstairs and so the room with my Clavinova ought to be a comfortable temperature for a practice. Slow practice, fuelled by a metronome. Hopefully it will be as productive as yesterday's foray into the same territory. Equally, I hope that yesterday's progress has imbedded itself in my fingers.

I'm planning to play my complete Diploma programme to my teacher on Wednesday and then to an invited audience the following day! fingersCrossed.gif

I am going to start to do all the undone things that have accumulated during term time.
