A question : I've missed a load of rehearsals : will I be able to catch up with some of the song sheets I'e missed?

I am in the same position as you, Barry. I in fact will now need all the material. I have made some life changes which will now enable me to attend all the choir sessions. I don't know how much singing I will be doing next week though but shall enjoy listening to you all. I had better make sure I buy a folder from Cyrilla at the next meet.

I have a whole nice new box of folders, PianoNotes, so you'll be able to choose your favourite colour

!
I am quite sure that David will have copies of all the past sheets so no worries there. And please don't worry if you can't sing after your surgery - you can always sing in your thinking voice!

Agreed, muffinmonster...it never fails to move me hugely...

We sang it with The Lovely László last summer in the final concert - and most of the audience joined in!!

It was fab!
A pretty small and select group (only 22 this time) but we sat in a cosy little semi-circle and sang some more gorgeous music.
I had Bagpuss with me (her first session - sadly she usually teaches on a Sunday and can't normally come

) which was fabberoony

.
Sadly there was only one male tenor so the Everly Sisters had to sing tenor - ha! We got christened 'tenoritas'

. Never realised I could sing the D below middle C before

.
As Bagpuss remarked, after an afternoon plumbing the depths, 'That's put hairs on our chests!'

Fortunately the nice Dalcroze people are going to re-jig my timetable if kwa clashes with one of their weekends again, so that I can teach solfa for them in the morning and still go to kwa in the afternoon

We were small in number but big in voice, and had a good time. However, we need to get bigger in numbers as there are difficulties continuing at the present rate. The next rehearsal is on Sunday, 16th January, and it will be great to see (relatively) old friends and meet new ones.
