Is it possible to sit the theory exam somewhere other than the centres on this site? Like at the school where I work? I ask because the next set are coming up on a Saturday and we work on Saturdays so the chance of me getting the time off is, well, zero! The school usually has a visiting examiner for practical exams.
I fear I may have to bug the bosses at ABRSM on this matter but someone out there might know.....

Thanks

As far as I know, you can have them at a school etc, but they are all on the same day regardless for the theory exams so it wont help at all... I think the best bet is to wait for November if you really cant get the time off... Mind you i've still not asked my boss if i can have that day off for my grade 6 theory blink.gif

The school where I teach theory does have the exam there (yes, exactly same date & time), for which I usually invigilate. I'm not sure about how it got set up like this in the first place, but the school has done this for years. It's good for the pupils as they are in a familiar place and don't have to travel to the centre, but I don't know whether there's a minimum number of entrants, or any other restrictions. So I think you'll need to ask AB anyway - and your school, to see if they would be prepared to do the admin, pay the invigilator, set aside the room, and so on. Might be simpler to wait...
