how do u know what the fingering is for a certain song. I am trying to play Maple Leaf Rag, but this version is an easier one than the original because it substitues the "2 noted chords, and normal chords" for just one note.

If there is no guide for fingering then it really is a matter of experience.
You need to build up good fingering habits beginning with 5 finger position.
If you don't havbe the experience you could try going through slowly to see what works.. but you could still finish with some awkward moves...or get someone who has a bit more experience than yopu to go through it with you.
