Who IS this Einlaudi character, pray? I heard about him and his woohoo but know nothing more. Okay, I'm being lazy but, please, is there a site where I can hear a sample or see a couple pages of music? Afficionados like yourselves would know the better sites.
Cheers

I've listened to the Einaudi album recently. It's nice, but - well, it's nice, but....hmmm. It's got elements of minimalism in it, elements of Chopin, elements of Debussy, elements of Schubert - it's highly derivative yet well-played - it verges on muzak - I think you begin to get the picture, perhaps? It's used a lot on adverts - it's very popular - his concerts sell out across the country.
Hmm.

Violinia...thank you!
So, if I turn the computer to catch the oblique afternoon light, then a possible interpretation is that he has an excellent publicity manager?
I had hoped all these enthusiasts here would be hurling websites my way but since my enquiry has drawn but stunned silence except from yourself, I'll see if samples are available on Towers and the like.
In the words of Arnie... I'll be back.

Not sure I understand what you've said...
Did you mean "I wouldn't know anything about Germany AND I don't like it."? (or you didn't like my question?)
Because...hmm, paradox. If you don't know anything about Germany, how come you are able to say you don't like it?
I know nothing about Martin Einlaudi so I can make no judgemet.
(I've never been happy with doll-guy pianists who use Brylcreem so hopefully he isn't in that bracket).

I
think it's Ludovico, although I'm working from memory.
Someone who wasn't keen on his music (don't tell Nat this.... !)
I can't remember who it was, referred to Einaudi as
I-now-die.

Oh, woops, what????
I have invented a mnemonic. From the Latin: I play - and I rub my chest (with Vick).
Ludo=I play
Vico=I rub Vick.
Ludo-vico
Right, I think I have it.

As long as I don't forget and ask him if he plays Ludo.
or worse, rub Vick on his chest. His eyes would stream!!!!
