I don't know what the problem could be. Both compositions are in the same mp3 format and are set up on my website identically. (?)

Thanks for listening to the second one and for visiting my music website.

It may be worth saying that B major is one of the hardest keys for any wind instrument to play in - Ob/Fl/Bsn (B) Cl (C#) Hn (F#) - Have you had it played? If not it may not sound as fluid as the synthesised version unless you have very good players smile.gif

Yes, I'm aware of the difficulty of the key. It's pretty hard for brass instruments also. sad.gif I originally wrote it in Bb but it sounded "uncrisp" so I transposed it up a half-step. biggrin.gif When I then transposed it again to C, it sounded rather "tinny", so...

I rather liked Quartet No.2 it flows along very nicely and kept my attention..

The B maj one I felt was a bit relentless inasmuch that it never really seemed to let up, lord know where anyone was going to be able to breathe and as mentioned earlier a nasty key for woodwind especially Oboe, you would need to be a very competent player to really do this quartet Justice..

overall though, very nice works, well constructed. Good melodies and clever rhetoric used in both..I thoroughly enjoyed them..
