I have finally made my new flute purchase smile.gif

Went with an Altus azumi. Got to try it with a B foot joint in the shop but didn't find that particularly comfortable. It's open holed as well so have to get used to that. Taking out one bung at a time I think.

Even the guy in the shop said B foot joints are really not used very often. So I stuck with the C joint and handed over the money....as well as picking up a little more sheet music.

I am enjoying the sound it produces, lovely low notes in particular.

I got the closed hole silver head Azumi yesterday. Also avoided B Foot (largely due to budget) but I'd get my fingers in even more of a twist than they already are. Need to play around and see what she can do - good luck - hope you enjoy it.

Don't know what you had before, but I'm suddenly finding pieces I know difficult to play as I keep getting distracted by experimenting with different sound qualities and dynamics way out of my old comfort zone. It's like a whole new world of flute playing!

I know what you mean about being distracted by the sounds it makes. I also keep catching the G sharp key at the moment. Just need to get used to it.
