Haven't been on here for ages,sorry .
Need help again though.
I am looking for an audition piece for a tenor voice. We are wanting to show the ease of runs and put across his lyric sound. Not too dramatic,I don't think.
Handel seems the obvious choice,but,although he likes "He shall dash them";I think it may be too dramatic as he will need to show he can blend. Acis and Galatea arias are great but a little too high for too long...if that makes sense.
Any ideas,please.

What's wrong with "Every valley shall be exalted"? One of my favourite Handel tenor arias. You could include the recit if you like: "Comfort ye my people".

Thought about that. Someone else suggested it but I thought it might be too popular. It would work though,wouldn't it.

I hear congratulations are in order as far as the Audition is concerned. Let's hope the protige is as successful at interview!
