Thanks everyone for your advice re Buffet and Selmer A clarinets. I went to my local music shop today and choose a Selmer 10 S II. It's lovely and was half price (still £1200 though!). I didn't like the Buffet R13 or RC but liked the Buffet RC greenline. My second favourite surprisingly was the Yamaha custom, but this was £1500 and didn't have as nice a tone. Very pleased now - can't wait to start playing the Mozart Clarinet concerto properly!

P.S. Can even get top top Cs out and in tune on this clarinet - cool!!! laugh.gif

Oh and Happy New Year to eveyone!!!

I'm glad that you have found a clarinet that you like! There is nothing worse than playing and instrument that you don't like the souns quality of!
