Most of us who use this forum are mildly obsessive about using this forum...
... so if you were famous, and we all knew your name, would you still use the forum. And if you did, would you use an assumed name?

Yes, on both counts.
Assuming I'd got the time to still 'tune in' - and wasn't run off my feet with recitals and guest appearances all over the place - then I'd still use the forum.
An assumed name would probably be a good idea, otherwise your PM box might be overflowing

Would use them still, but not under my own name

I agree with Helen and Amanda- I would definitely keep using the forums if I had time, but I wouldn't reveal my identity

I would stay as cheeble, I think. A few people on here know my real name, but not as many as I'd have to change it.

Oh I just completely forgot - I am "famous" in another two ways, both amusing. Firstly, I have a book on amazon, but it's under my editor's name because it's a compilation. On the other hand, getting published in a small way isn't difficult, it's being successful that is.
Secondly, my name was the main character in an incredibly famous book a few years ago. I was in the car when suddenly I heard a BBC Radio 4 DJ saying "That [insert name here] is a complete [insert insult here that wouldn't result in OFCOM fines]"
Both are very tenuous links to my being "famous"
Another forum I use asked this question a few weeks ago - it was astonishing how absolutely everyone had a claim to fame - so let's hear all of yours, so I can have a laugh over my morning coffee in a few days

I am famous and I definitely recommend anonymity. To be honest I wear dark glasses and a false Santa beard when I come on here as well as the assumed name. Just to be on the safe side.

Easily done though. I mean, most topics over the past few weeks, while we have all been at home with nothing to do, have veered somewhat from the subject of music...

Yes, this kind of topic is called "getting to know each other". Presumably musicians socialise on message boards as they do 'out there'.

Out where? If you mean that icecube outside the house, I'd rather give up socialising until winter is over

I'm of the school of thought that thinks men should carry around hip flasks during winter all the time anyway.

"QUE" means "WHAT" in spanish if it has a ? behind it.otherwise,it just means who. dont know what it means in french, though.
