Hi everyone [waves]

Just want to share our good news. Nils, my 11 yr old, got his Grade 2 piano results today, and he's passed with Merit. Yippee.

It's my birthday, and I couldn't wish for a nicer "present". Fantastic start to the day, and makes up for the fact that dear hubby is away on business and not back till tonight.

This is such a brilliant thing for Nils for two reasons. Firstly, the poor sausage failed his Grade 1 piano, and I think it's shown tremendous courage to continue on to the next grade. Secondly, he sits his 11+ in just over a week, and this has really boosted his confidence levels no end!

Off to the shops later to buy a picture frame, so he can hang his certificate up by the piano.

Have been out for a walk, and as I don't have any clients today, I can spend loads of time singing and playing the piano. And I'm also planning a lovely candlelit bath later. Of the clients who gave me Christmas presents (I'm a counsellor & psychotherapist), ALL of them were scented candles! So I have a lot of choice in the scented candle department!

Thank you everyone, and your idea of a "glass of something and my chocci woohoo" will give the perfect finishing touches Rosemary! (I'm going to save the white notes till last because I adore white chocolate!) I don't know if I've got any new music, because hubby is away and I haven't been given/sent any presents, so I'll have to wait and see tonight when he gets back. But fingers crossed! I LOVE new music!

I'll pass on everyone's congratulations to Nils when I pick him up from school. Many thanks for them.

Thank you everyone. Yes, I had a lovely birthday, and am feeling a bit delicate today. Must be the chocci woohoo cake, after all it couldn't possibly have been the Pinot Grigio.

I got some very nice pressies, including more chocolate (I think dear hubs is trying to fatten me up coz I've lost so much weight from the health probs I've had). But Nils' Grade 2 results were, in a way, the nicest present I could have. It's only now he's done so well that he admitted how devastated he felt when he failed the Grade 1 (by 1 mark). I do so admire his courage to put it behind him and continue on to the next level. He's just finished his mock 11+ now, so I'm interested to hear how it's gone. Hubs has just gone to pick him up... let me off driving because of the headache I got from all the woohoo cake(!)

And it's lovely and sunny right now.
