im playing Debussy's Arabesque II. i need to know, is there a certain technique out there to keep these triplets consistent throughtout the whole piece? and please any other additional information about the piece would be helpful. thank you.

I can only suggest practising it slowly with a metronome. It might help to subdivide the ticks into quavers. Also, don't try to think of the accent on the first note of the triplets or the note after the triplets. They should be fairly equal and sound even

Hope this helps

I don't reckon there's any particular pianistic technique, you just have to practice it gentle, very relaxed and slowly until accurate, then let it flow. It's more a state of mind thing. If you can hear it inwardly as it should be then, when you're sure, go to the piano, close your eyes and play it - it'll happen.

You have to get used to this with Debussy, in La Cathedral Engloutie you'll find 3:5 and some of the studies you'll find some weird combinations.
