Recording Forums events would need additional fees to be paid for permissions, and would make the day prohibitively expensive. That's why we've never done it.
SueHM is right - to hear what people are doing, you should go along. I'm just sad not to be there.

Thank you Scotliz for organising such a wonderful event and thank you to everyone who was there for making it so warm and welcoming.
Big, big thank you to my two wonderful accompanists and for the encouraging feedback. It was fantastic to "perform" my exam pieces as it's now identified the parts I need to work on and what areas could be potential bugbears. Plus I've also managed to resolve my battle of the violins - just have to break the news to my teacher now.
Thanks again to everyone for a truly lovely afternoon.

Just got back home to Trowbridge.
Thanks to everyone for making my 1st forum event so enjoyable.
Special thanks to Scotliz for arranging this event that ran like clockwork & to Sue HM for being such a friendly and patient accompanist.
It was a very positive experience & everyone was so friendly and supportive.
I hope it will be the 1st of many forum events for me.
Thanks too for the lovely comments in my feedback envelope.

My thanks to Scotliz too, great job done.
It was so nice to meet old friends and new ones at a good concert, where only the best was heard. If an alien had dropped in it would have reported back that music is alive and well among the adult generation

Thank you for my kind comments, I am thinking of copying them and handing them to my examiner as I enter the room

Second lot of thanks to Gedall40 for accompanying me for my song.
Thirdly, thanks to all the performers who made the afternoon so enjoyable. Special mention to those who were performing for the first time..well done to all of you.
And lastly, thank you to everyone who took the time to write such lovely comments about my performances. I appreciate all of them.
Looking forward to November already!

There never has been a minimum playing level for this sort of event and I'm sure that's the case here.
Grades don't matter here and if you've been playing for a month and can manage to put a few bars together that's fine.

Likely dates for the next Gloucester Concert are 5th or 26th Nov. I will have to check if the dates are available with the venue.
The number of participants will be limited to 17 (this will include participants who are not forum members - the mix worked extremely well for the first event). This number allows time for duets/ ensembles.

How about a nice simple arrangement of 'The Pink Panther'? Oboe or piano - your choice - I'll bring my flute.

I don't think we need to worry about the limited numbers issue, MNW. Not sure if the pair of us together quite add up to one whole musician yet.
