I was wondering how long it is taking to get exam results in this session. Daughter took an exam on Monday. Is there any hope of results before Christmas?

I know my pupils' exam results won't be in before Christmas! Due to a long and complicated story and a lovely examiner, my results won't be sent to the board until 22nd Dec! Exams were last week..... but as I know it'll stop me checking frantically!

Daughter took an exam yesterday not really hoping for the result this side of Christmas. I think we did have them on Christmas Eve once.

My daughter took an exam on 6 December at the school where her teacher is on the staff. The school has broken up, so whether or not we get a result by Christmas may well depend on how keen he is to find out her result and those of pupils at his school. He was a bit non-committal about whether he was going to look out for the results arriving or forget all about them until after the holiday.

Good luck to all those still waiting for results!
My son took his G8 cello on 30th November, results came thru on Thursday 16th - worth the wait, he passed with Distinction with marks of 140! He is very happy!
Bit of a funny story getting the results through though, he took piano G7 at the same time, and the results were shown online the wrong way round so he thought he'd only got a merit for the cello (he knew which way round he thought the results should be!). Many franctic texts / email and phone calls later all sorted. ABRSM office were wonderful, so helpful, and very apologetic for the error - really didn't matter, almost made it better having the mark confirmed that he so wanted!

It's a tense few days waiting for those results isn't it! My daughter's school music director emailed us today with her result - barncottagekitten has been checking the inbox every 20 mins for the last week!
142 for her Grade 7 violin put a beaming smile on her face - and ours of course! - she thought it had gone quite well - the exam was on her 12th birthday and she was in a jolly mood for it which helped I think!
Congratulations to all those who passed - and a well deserved break from the exam treadmill if you're lucky!

I think her exam was on the last day of the exams at that centre, because we asked for as late as possible because of mock GCSEs and we definitely didn't want that day as she had an orchestra concert in the afternoon, but it was the last chance. Once the centre is finished maybe they tidy up the results and send them out.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'm so chuffed for her as she worked really hard and I was a bit worried that it might fall apart a bit as she's always hated exams. The fact that she came out smiling and relaxed was already enough for me and now I'm just delighted for her that she feels that all that work was worthwhile.
