As for practical exams I have only done one

, my grade 5. but this June I'll be doign my grade 8. I don't think I did as well as any of you but it was probably around 75% or soemthign like that. I do Royal Conservatory Piano....does anyone else go through that program? As for not-practical on my theory one I got 100% amazingly and for theroy rudaments two, 94-98%. If only I was better at playing....

Its much more impressive to be able to play than....count metre and that junk, lol

Don't worry too much, Nat - being brilliant at something yourself doesn't necessarily make you a wonderful teacher. We all remember teachers from school who were brilliant at their subject but couldn't teach it.
I've said this before, but I know FOR CERTAIN that I would not be the teacher I am today if I hadn't struggled in the way that I did, initially. Fortunately I found this approach which brought all the enormous amount of music that was in me and I never knew was there through all the years of trying to learn the piano.
What I'm trying to say is, results in instrumental grade exams are NOT the be-all-and-end-all!
