If you are quick, the LPO are doing an orchestra in a weekend in brighton, where you will be coaches and will play alonside members of the LOndon Phil playing mahler 6 ( thats me on 4th bassoon then ) however, this is taking place in feburary.

there are heps of summer schools you could try, also lots of music festivals eg Dartington take on students to help, and you get a great time hearing concerts, talks, joining in at lots of different musics - they have Balinese gamelan, contemporary music, music theatre, as well as all the more mainstream courses. Great fun, and you'll get to meet some amazing people too.

I did my work experience last June, but did not do anything in the field of music. Could you sit in on an orchestra's practice session or anything like that?
