Ok, it's not really to do with er, classical music, but it's really addictive:
There was this competition on my local radio station a few days ago and it was matching songs with proffesions, or what people would wake up with in their heads!
For example:
Postman : Return to Sender, Address Unknown
Psychiatrist (dunno how u spell it): Closest thing to Crazy
Train Driver : Sound of the Underground
Got anymore ideas?
Ciao!

I listened to the Bewitched stuff recently, I thought it was rather good fun.
Why not turn this into a game, one person gives a job, then the next person has to think of a song to match up with it, and then has to name a job again. I, of course, couldn't take part, because of the delay with the moderated posts, but I could still enjoy all your answers!
Speaking of which,
fairground ride operator: Dizzy (vic reeves)
Nanny or Au pair: We will rock you (queen) <-- taking the name of the song out of context there!
By the way, this may have been on your local radio station, but this game's been played on I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue (ISIHAC) on Radio 4 for years and years. It's the greatest radio show ever.

You could of course include carols as well - although it's just a bit late ...
Rejoice and be merry for landlords and pub-owners
Past three o' clock for jewellers and watchmakers
O little town for cartographers (is that what you call people who draw maps?)
It came upon the midnight clear for weather forecasters and astronomers
Unto us is born a son for midwives
The holly and the ivy for gardeners (again)
I saw three ships for customs and excise people (or smugglers maybe)
Masters in this hall for schoolteachers
Deck the hall for interior decorators
no doubt you can think of some more ??
as missniffler said, it's addictive !

I think it's the children's harvest song called "Paint-box"-
Cauliflowers fluffy, and cabbages green
Strawberries sweeter than any I've seen
(something...) and onions fat,
Radishes round and runner beans flat
The apples are ripe, the plums are red
Broad beans are sleeping in a blankety bed.
There are two more verses but that's all I can remember- I sang it once in about Year 2!
