i am doing grade two in easter and a really really worried about my Scales and music they really seem off scale.
Also do you have anyway of making pratacing more fun as it seems so boring

Practising scales do you mean? Try adding some rhythms to them?
Heya! Yeah, I found grade 2 a bit boring when I'd played the pieces so often I could play them standing on my head. 
How about for tuning sticking nail stickers on the violin at finger position one and four. (i.e. for the A string the stickers would be at B and E) But if you stick the stickers in between the A and D strings you can use them for all strings and only your thumbs would suffer! (re-reading that it sounds VERY confusing)
