anyone played his Waltz in A minor?..................am liking it very much!!
Catrin
Is that the one out of More Romantic Pieces book 4? - I am, I think it's lovely. I just wish he'd missed out the four difficult bars at the bottom of the first page!
Are you using the editorial dynamics?
jstark
is that the one that begins with the melody in the left hand?

I like it lots too. Haven't heard it in a good while but still remember it

It is the op posthumous - the triplet/quintuplet bars are the ones I can't play!
I found that the dynamics written didn't at all fit the way I was playing it, that's why I asked - anyone else any opinion?

Yup, took ages to learn though, still trying to get some of the middle bit sorted - get rather tricky! But it's a lovely piece

Is that the posthumous one in the AB book called 'Chopin - an Introductory Album'?

If so I tried that a while ago, but it was a bit hard. The major stumbling block was the bit at the bottom of the first page, but the next passage was a bit tricky too.

However, looked at it again last w/e and played it almost straight through, it was at nowhere near the right tempo and I had no expression and loads of mistakes but it was a lot easier than last time I looked at it, so I'll definately try again as I think it's really nice and I recon I could manage it now.

Does anyone else feel they never get any better, it's just that the pieces get easier??

But as I also said:

.......it was at nowhere near the right tempo and I had no expression and loads of mistakes.....

Will take a lot of work to get it right and I've already spent a long time on it before deciding it was way too hard for me and giving up!
