Hello. I began learning Alto Saxophone about 5 years ago for my school band and have quit the band due to a really terrible new teacher....really really terrible. There are no lessons available for any instruments except for piano and guitar in my town however I am interested in carrying on with the sax. I'm in piano for grade 8 so I do know a fair bit about music and technique however what sort of tequnique and music books would be necessary in say getting grade 8 for Saxophone? does it require all scales, arpeggios, chords, dominants and diminished chords? if so at what speed?
If anyone has a lesson plan or just the basic requirements I would be thrilled to recieve them.
