It's just as well I hadn't taken a mouthful of anything that might have damaged my computer, because that cracked me up. Almost slipped right past and then I noticed Le Woohoo... didn't even know Debussy'd written a prelude about a bald girl....

Glad everything's okay but I know - a most unusual find - Debussy's Prèludes, book three, lying around all these years in my garage. I've taken on the duty of restoring it!

Prelude 2 really is hard: "Lorsque Einaudi a perdu ses dents faux dans la lavabo""

I also learned a secret. The reason Ravel's written music looks like it does started because he happened to be at the piano facing some clean music paper and with a mouthful of chewed black olives. Debussy came in and said "Euh! I am 'avingk trouble viz zis bagpipeur, il ne peut pas jouer Syrinx. Aucun feelink...Aucun vin de table..."

I think I will have to make it a point of policy not to have drinks near the PC when I might be reading this forum... two narrow escapes today at LEAST!

For the record, my favourite albums (before I go to bed at least 2 hours later than I should have done) (and I haven't bought any sheet music albums that I can remember, so any I bought can't have been that good, so I will be dull and stick to cds!):

Erm: these might not all have been released 2004 but that was when I bought them so tongue.gif I am always out of date, deal with it wink.gif

James Galway - Wings Of Song biggrin.gif
Nichole Nordeman - Woven and Spun
Dido - Life For Rent
Stephen Hough - Rachmaninov Piano Concertos 1-4 & Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (which I WON, how cool is that? though I did give it away. but I have a copy. and it was appreciated by the recipient biggrin.gif and it's a very very cool recording... me likes.)
