Full Version: Glissando
this may sound a lil awkward but how is glissando played? i've tried with my index finger, middle finger and thumb and it hurts!
what is a glissando?
I've read a book by Josef Hoffmann answering piano questions and him telling how to play it correctly, but currently I'm too lazy to find it again now...maybe next week I'll try to find it. 
I suppose it depends which note you want to start from, which finger you'd use ....
sorry, sippingsoda, when i first saw this post i just presumed you meant on the violin .. and then I saw it on the piano forum too!
mayb thumb and index like in a pinch... lolz thats how i played it! it doesnt hurt after u practice it a couple of times...
