I have found an Amati C Clarinet on the Internet for around £300 - my question - does anyone know if these are any good? It is a resin clarinet (I think) and also, what reed would I use with it.

Yes thats what i paid for mine. Cecilia is an Amati YCL 251. These are lovely instruments and a joy to play.

nd guess what? you can even use your favourite Bb mouthpeice.

I also have a buffet B12 and i use that mouthpeice on my Amati with a vandoren size 3.

I love my C clarinet, its great for small instrumental groups that have piano, violin, flute, etc as you can all play from the same music!

Your quite right it does have a resin body, BUT a wooden bell and a wooden barrel.
