actually I found the Christmas episode of the Vicar of Dibley, where she supposedly turned up too drunk to say midnight mass, more offensive.

I really want to keep out of trouble or contention, I honestly just want to say "I agree, I agree", but my brow is raised here.
The whole issue of female priests is...huh. If you look to the egyptian ceremony from which the christians lifted their ritual, a female priest is an impossibility in the Osiris thingie. I think the Bible makes it clear too, those early Moses books.
Now I'll skiddadle...
Helen
I would absolutely love to see what our curate would say about that! *walks off chuckling to herself*

I agree Maggiemay... the vicar of Dibley really lost the plot with those episodes over Christmas.

So do I - my family has always enjoyed VoD up until then. Not what I'd call family viewing.

Dear Forums Users,

Could I take this opportunity to remind everyone of the original query please? Does anyone know the name or composer of the 'Little Britain' theme tune? Does anyone know if the score is available? If so, please let us know via the discussion forums.

Many thanks

nope, I have not seen it... however, largely due to the fact that I don't want to...

the composer of the music might be credited on the endcredits.... that would be the obvious first place to look so at least you have a name.

Did you watch the first series where they had the "concert pianist " character, that was very funny. Also I can relate to that because quite often when I am "performing" a piece, say at home or during a lesson my mind can often wander onto other thoughts, such as the Little Britain moment "didn't I have a bag with me when I came in" or more often "I must stop off at the supermarket on the way home". Do other people find it difficult to switch off? I never used to find concentration such a problem when I was younger, it seems to be more of a problem now I have children and I'm always having to think about what everyone else is doing. dry.gif

Sometimes, I can't take my mind of the french grammar work I need to do, long enough to do some productive piano practice! Luckily it doesn't really happen in lessons though...

i was quite suprised that i found parts of little britain funny- particularly as i hated league of gentlemen (left me with that "errrr... blink.gif " feeling)

will never compete with black books though *screams bring it back!! bring it back!!*

um so to keep this post on-topic...where can you find the theme for black books? tongue.gif

Is this that place beginning with H?

The only good thing about it was easy access to Kendals and Forsyths! I moved as I only stood it for about a year.It was enough for me.

Are the usual traffic jams still there?

But Glossop park was very nice, especially the miniature train smile.gif

Would it be Joby Talbot...I mean Doctor Joby Talbot...LOL? He composed the L of Gentleman theme and works in close association with Neil Hannon...The Divine Comedy.

Who remembers National Express and Something for the Weekend????

This is the intro for Theme from Casanova....

Joby Talbot: The Divine Comedy's Casanova: a collection of songs for bass-baritone and ensemble, inspired by the writings of the eighteenth century Venetian gambler, eroticist and spy and performed for us there by the composer, Neil Hannon. He was accompanied in that 1995 recording by a specially assembled group of young musicians, under the baton of Dr Joby Talbot. The programme was devised by The Divine Comedy, and was produced in our London studios by Darren Allison.
Now, as we're running a little ahead of schedule, there's just time for one extra item. So I'll leave you with the haunting strains of 'Theme From Casanova'

The answer was given in the second message - David Arnold.

Therefore the thread could be closed if you're trying to save space, Ms Morris.

Yes the traffic jams are still here. and i agree it is a very grey dull boring and generally depressing place.
And by the place begining with H you mean Hadfield
GuestWho!
smile.gif Yes I mean Hadfield.I use to live up Salisbury St and my eldest attended Padfield School for a little while. It was easier to walk than take the car.

Don`t take offence,but I`m glad I`m out of there.
