I'm thinking about going to a conservatoire for trumpet performance and am considering purchasing a funky new trumpet that will last me hopefully for the rest of my life...

Does anyone have any suggestions on trumpets, trumpets which in the future I will not need/want to replace...ever??

mm agree with you there Mark, price range is EVERYTHING. If you're just off to university then you may not be as loaded as some. But you're older than me so I'll shush!!
