As some of you may know I have been unemployed for rather a long time. I have been working on a voluntary basis in my career sector for well over a year (a job I love, but it being voluntary it was unsustainable in the long run), taking low-paid, non-professional temporary and casual jobs to plug the financial gap in the meantime. It was getting to the stage I thought I would never get anything. However, last week I had an interview for a job which actually relates to my degree, and matches my experience. It was a role I was really enthusiastic about, and I have just been offered the job!

I now have a week to pack up my life and move a plane ride away...my life is mad, but oh so exciting!

I'm not moving abroad, it's not going to be quite that dramatic a life change! I'll still be in the UK but I'm going to be working across various islands!
