I have had singing lessons a year ago and consider myself not bad, but need much more practice. I thought maybe I could do some backing singing to get me started but not sure where to go. Can anyone help? Music wise, I like R&B, Rock, pop and most things, well anything to get me started.

Hum....to get started to do what? You don't say what you are trying to achieve in singing, so it's a little difficult to help here...are you looking to sing professionally in pop/jazz/rock? To take grades? To join a choir? to become an opera singer? an oratorio specialist? etc....

When you have decided what you want to achieve then you can get started. If you want to sing 'pop' etc, you still need to carry on having singing lessons. Your teacher should be your guide and point you in the next direction. Local Choirs are a great way of gaining confidence as they speed up your sight reading and harmonies and support each other. These are always crying out for members. Choral groups are the same. Go to your local music shop and check out all those leaflets on the notice board. Read the local newspapers and you will find groups. As you like RB rock pop etc, you could look for and try Jazz Voice Groups or Gospel groups. These are some ideas, you can pick and choose when you have decided which genre of music you wish to take up. Buy a few practise CDs with backing tracks and practise at home. These are available in most music shops.
Good Luck
