I'm not sure I could chose ONE musician, but I see what you mean with that piece, it's great.

I have so many musicians that I admire greatly, but if I had to decide on just one, then probably Al Jolson.

I don't think I can choose from piano, there's too much. But Van Cliburn's playing is great. I also love Yo Yo Ma for cello.

Fave changes according to mood and what I'm listening to. Yesterday it was Paul Creston. Today it's Delius, tomorrow it might be Strawberry Switchblade.

Andre Rieu, probably one the best music entertainers in the world. His Violin and Orchestra is incredible, if you get the chance to see him go - you will not be disappointed. I like Summer and I think Katherine Jenkins is marvellous.

Sir Simon Rattle, the late, great Sir Thomas Beecham and Emmanuel Pahud, but not necessarily in that order.

One of my favourites is Paul Sartin, superb oboe player, (plus violin and voice) and chorister at Christchurch, Oxford, (heard singing the sig music for Mr Bean and the Vicar of Dibley.)
Paul has also moved into folk music, playing with Paul Hutchinson as Balshazzar's Feast, the as part of Doctor Faustus, and I will be hearing him soon as part of a new prize winning band Bellowhead.
Versatility at its best.
