Hi, I am a newbie to the abrsm forums. I play the piano and violin. I have just started on Grade 8 piano and would like to do Grade 6 theory soon-ish. i love playing classical music but hate jazz ( i have no idea why!). I have just started the violin and really really enjoy it although I sometimes sound like I'm strangling a cat! I used to play the recorder and the tuba (yes i know, the tuba!). I got into a music school which i would have been transferring to for secondary school but everything would be focussed on music and I would not have much time for all my other subjects so in the end I didn't go there and won a scholarship to another school where my academic subjects are now put first. I would like to do something with piano and violin when I'm older, like part-time teaching. Well, that's all and I hope more newbies will post in the New Members forum.!!!

Ah that sucks you don't like jazz...=( Jazz is really cool to listen and play to!...But not to compose...T.T

Welcome PVP You wont be doing that Kapustin Sonatina for Grade 8 then, its more or less Jazz.
