Did anyone watch this on BBC2? I really enjoyed it, but why did they have to cut short the closing voluntary? It was such an exciting, joyous piece, and worst of all - I don't know what it was! ohmy.gif

Does anybody know?

No, I missed this. Had a look on the beeb site, but they don't seem to give much detail about the programme content.

You could watch it again if you wished !

Apparently it was recorded at the same time as the Christmas carol service. huh.gif

(edit) it's the finale from Vierne's first symphony.
Great piece!

Thanks maggiemay - you're a star! smile.gif I think I need to listen to some Vierne!

How odd to record it at Christmas - I suppose it avoids having the camera crew there twice though.

Does anyone know if this was also broadcast on BBC radio?

I have searched and can't find it but the television version is not available for viewing here. This is actually a most frustrating thing about the BBC - there are lots of things I would like to see but they are not available on the so-called worldwideweb. But if it was on one of the radio stations I might be able to listen.

You'll probably find they were both recorded in August! rolleyes.gif
